Expressions of the psychological and emotional effect of interacting
with my western environment. In a multilayered eclectic bricolage I have
constructed fragments of and reaction to an ideology. Having come from
California, raised of American/Scandinavian/Anglo and Hispanic
background, educated at reputable institutions, I was inculcated in the
`American Dream´ then taught and shown by experience that it is a
fallacy afforded the few who play the rules of denial and self
deception. The inhuman debasement of the transnational, corporate,
petrochemical, military industrial complex and the society it creates
produces situations that tend to neutralize difference or accentuate
them into volitile dichotomies in the name of the global good of man,
while destroying our natural and spiritual environment in the name of
profit and the ritual of consumerist validation. I have lived in Sweden
and the southwestern USA, Aztlan. I'm interested in comparative
mythologies, philosophies, ontologies and epistemologies, as well as the
autonomous interaction of cross-culturalism rather than the monolithic,
dominate-culture, peripheral coopting institutionalization and
centralism that `multicultural´ globalism has come to mean.
